Bloomberg’s Democratic Anti Gun coalition is upset that there has been no progress in leveraging tighter gun control legislation.  Much to these Bloomberg lackeys chagrin, their attacks are running out of ammo. (pun intended) They are desperately attempting to get their way now because they know that time is running out.  Private firearm ownership is at an all-time high and violent crime rates plunging, none of the scary scenarios they tout have materialized. Abuse of responsibility by armed citizens is rare, while successful defensive interventions are relatively commonplace.  Recent arrests in New York City have demonstrated the unconstitutional aspect of their much loved Sullivan laws.

National violent crime rates are dropping. Last December the FBI reported that murder and other violent crime rates fell again by 6.4% during the first half of 2011 compared with the same period in 2010. A Gallup poll indicates that “Americans’ preference regarding gun laws is generally enforce existing laws more strictly and not pass new laws.”

Yet we continue to hear Bloomberg and others report the opposite.  Caroline Brewer of the anti-gun Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence stated “The research we’ve seen indicates fewer and fewer people owning more and more guns.  You have to wonder where they are getting their information and why the press reports what they spin as fact?  Does their research go beyond the attendees of the parties at Gracie Mansion?

Support for personal gun ownership is growing. Our downstate politicians entrenched in New York City just don’t get the message.  It is time to give them the message. Call their office, E-mail them, and above all write them a letter.
Honestly, they will disregard your phone calls and emails but a handwritten letter they will not ignore.

Tell them to kill the bills on Micro Stamping bill, Magazine Capacity Bill, and all the other bills being planned for the upcoming week that violate the Second Amendment . 
Ask them to stop blindly following Mayor Bloomberg and the Anti Gun Special Interest Groups and consider the people of New York State for once.
